An example of Mattison Public Relations assisting in managing a crisis: We were called in by an international financial institution whose decisions could have led to the closure of a number of famous English professional football clubs. They were deeply concerned that their involvement with the football clubs might be highlighted and that they would suffer from the attentions of the local and national sports media and of the clubs’ fans. This was a situation which had the potential to damage their business reputation. We quickly devised a careful communications strategy and operated as the company's press office during a series of critical points in the prolonged negotiations that took place. The story was successfully contained and there was no media criticism of our client's policy. Case Study Home - Next - Previous
