Targeting High Net Worths to improve brand recognition of a Top 100 Law Firm

Background

Our client, a Top 100 law firm, wanted to improve its brand recognition and name recall among high net worth individuals who might use its private client services.

Strategy

  • We delivered a thought leadership media relations campaign to position our client as opinion-forming experts on key legal issues relating to high value divorces and inheritance. We did this by developing a series of topics into substantial news press releases that would be of interest to the top tier national press.  These included a mixture of research-based releases, commentary on key court cases and identifying up and coming trends.
  • Topics we identified and developed for our client included an increase in disputes over trusts, trends in litigation against executors of wills, using trusts to mitigate inheritance tax and changes to divorce law that might impact high net worths.

Results

From a standing start, we were able to make a big splash in the key media read by our client’s high net worth target, including front page stories in the Financial Times, the Sunday Times and the Sunday Telegraph, generating increased sales leads and more new business for our client.
