Background

Our client is a tax efficient private equity investment firm, offering individuals easy access to private equity investment free from the constraints of a traditional fund structure.

Our PR programme was designed to reach a disparate group of high net worth investors who might be attracted to our client’s tax efficient investments.  Our goal was to generate incoming enquiries for our client to convert into sales.

Strategy

We generated a steady flow of substantial news stories in the national press, investment press and IFA media to reach out to intermediaries.  We did this by:

  • Issuing commentary and research (generated by Mattison Public Relations) on topics relevant to UK private investors, such as take up for the UK’s Enterprise Investment Scheme, and the sectors invested in by this scheme.
  • Creating opportunities for our client to comment on HNW investment news and trends.
  • Leveraging journalist contacts within the personal finance and IFA press to generate positive coverage for client and their product.

Results

The regular, highly positive national media coverage we achieved helped our client attract increased investments from high net worths and through intermediaries. They recorded significant surges in web traffic and incoming calls after each piece of national coverage we achieved for them, which they converted to generate millions of pounds of fees.
