Our client, a Top 20 UK accountancy firm that works across a wide range of sectors, wanted a proactive PR programme to raise its profile amongst businesses in the drinks industry. The programme we delivered achieved over 100 items of national press coverage in 12 months.

We identified topics that would be relevant to our client’s practice area within the drinks sector and drafted press releases presenting our findings in an easily digestible, accessible way for journalists. Topics covered as part of the PR programme included:

  • The rise in the number breweries operating in the UK
  • The craft beer boom
  • The take-off of the English wine market
  • The increase in the number of independent distilleries in the UK

As well as drafting press releases, distributing them and following up with journalists, other activity delivered as part of the programme included:

  • Carrying out bespoke desk research for each press release
  • Arranging comment opportunities for our client on relevant issues within the drinks sector – resulting in a pipeline of features pieces in top tier national and trade publications and a regular flow of inbound calls to our client’s drinks practice

Through this programme, the firm achieved regular, high-value coverage in media outlets read by key decision makers at potential clients, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with trade bodies.
