Tech Startup - Profile raising around series C fundraising
Mattison Public Relations was hired by a Kenyan-based technology company, backed by Goldman Sachs, to boost their media profile in the UK and US as part of their series C fundraising.
Our work on this project needed to take place within a very short space of time (six months) and had to be undertaken within a highly competitive budget.
We also set ourselves a tough challenge of achieving coverage for our client in as many flagship publications as we could.
The client had a low media profile but a very interesting and compelling business model. Time was spent by Mattison Public Relations to spell out the client’s business model in as compelling a manner as possible. Careful writing of the press material meant that the media could quicky grasp the important of an ecommerce platform that allows retailers in E Africa to dramatically rationalise their fragmented and extremely expensive supply chain.
Selling in of the press release, background note and press meeting by Mattison Public Relations helped us achieve feature pieces on the company in The Economist, Financial Times, Bloomberg, TIME Magazine, TechCrunch and other international media. As a result of the PR campaign TIME magazine listed the client as one of the Top 100 most influential businesses in the world.
